Review best practices for designing productions in HealthShare, including real-world conventions for databases, namespaces, and components. This course follows the use case of an interface engineer for City Hospital who is creating an HL7® V2 routing production and wants to use best practices to do so.

  You have now learned several best practices for designing a production. Keep in mind that you should never add productions or code to system namespaces, databases, and classes, as your changes will not be preserved during upgrades. 

  In this course, you learned architectural design decisions for productions, as well as design decisions and naming conventions for configuration items in a production. Designing before creating your interfaces saves time and helps avoid future redesign.
